Questions and answers about Heins reimt
When Heins reimt, a poetry slam becomes more than just an evening – it becomes a small experience in Bielefeld. Four voices, two rounds, a great deal of feeling. Not a classic slam, but room for words that stay. An intimate event where you listen, feel along and decide at the end.
Our next date falls in spring – and yes, an evening like this has its own rhythm across the year. It is not a regular format, but deliberately chosen moments you will want to experience. Every evening is its own small edition, full of words.
The big stage is familiar from Poetry All Stars or events like Slam Owl. Our format is smaller, but just as close to what makes a good stage: genuine encounter, genuine listening – with a real East Westphalian feel.
Sometimes well-known names, sometimes new voices: our artists come from the scene – German-language, varied and always surprising. Names like Felix Lobrecht or Sarah Bosetti are familiar from bigger shows – with us, you might discover the next ones.
A bit of everything: a slam revue with a competitive edge, guaranteed, but without the pressure. It is not only about the winner of the evening, but about the moment. About spectacular exchanges of words, about the fine lines between cabaret, comedy and poetry. A genuinely top-class slam revue, just far more approachable.
Of course, the scene lives online too: the Bielefeld video slam brings texts to the screen, often via a YouTube channel or in cooperation with venues such as the Filmhaus or a small cinema. But live is live – and that is exactly what makes the difference.
Because everything comes together here: gripping stage literature, the spoken-word stars of tomorrow and an enthusiastic audience that really listens. For poetry slam fans just as much as for anyone who fancies entertaining culture. And who knows – you might discover tomorrow’s prize winners here, just as in previous editions.
