Heins takes center stage – Goldbeck and Katja Kessler bring metropolitan design to the H1 Bielefeld.

Imaginative Gastronomy and Cozy Co-working Under One Roof: Heins – The City’s Most Charming Host – Opens Its Doors. With “Heins speist” and “Heins arbeitet,” two new venues are bringing fresh energy to the H1 building at Kesselbrink.

From August onwards, the newly revitalised H1 building by Goldbeck GmbH at Kesselbrink will open its doors to the day bar “Heins speist” and the co-working space “Heins arbeitet.” These two innovative venues, situated in the heart of downtown Bielefeld, present a unique concept that seamlessly blends work and leisure in an inspiring and exceptional setting.

“With ‘Heins speist’ and ‘Heins arbeitet,’ we’ve created a truly special space that brings together modern work and dining culture,” says Dr. Andreas Iding, managing director of Goldbeck Services GmbH, the company behind Heins. “Our vision is to provide a place where people can work, network, relax, and enjoy great food – all in a comfortable, creative atmosphere.”

“Heins arbeitet“ offers co-working spaces in a one-of-a-kind environment with excellent connectivity. The modern co-working space features flexible workstations, private offices, and conference rooms, all equipped with the latest technology for seamless work and meetings. “We want our guests to feel at home—only better—while staying productive,” explains Carina Marschall, team leader at Heins Management.

The spaces cater to individuals looking for daily or monthly rentals, as well as teams or small businesses seeking permanent private offices.

“Heins speist,” right next door, invites Bielefeld locals to enjoy a fresh take on traditional regional cuisine, served with a modern twist. “Just as delicious as grandma’s cooking – but with a unique twist and always full of surprises,” says restaurant operator Dominik Stollberg about the culinary offerings at Heins. On weekdays, guests can indulge in breakfast, lunch, and various treats from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. “Heins speist” places a strong emphasis on sustainability, seasonality, and regional sourcing, collaborating with local partners such as the Bielefeld butcher Münch, Gut Wilhelmsdorf, and the bakery Backsüchtig.

“Our guests should not only work well but also enjoy excellent food,” adds Carina Marschall. “By combining these two elements, along with the exceptional interior design, we’ve created a unique atmosphere that encourages people to linger and savor the moment.”

Behind the stunning interior concept is the renowned designer Katja Kessler, who has infused “Heins speist” and “Heins arbeitet” with her signature touch. Blending warm, inviting elements with a mix of old and new, she has crafted real eye-catchers throughout. The result is a space brimming with attention to detail and one-of-a-kind charm. The aim is for guests to feel at home and always eager to return.

About Heins

Buildings and the people who occupy them may seem worlds apart at first, but upon closer look, they have a lot in common: Both can tell stories. The facade can be deceiving – it’s always worth exploring what’s inside. They evolve with time, yet remain true to their core. The H1 has a fascinating history, and after its revitalization, it’s showcasing its best side: A true personality – Heins. Heins is the Nordic version of Heinz, meaning “ruler of the home.” That’s why Heins became the soul of the house and Bielefeld’s most charming host. For more information, visit www.bei-heins.de/en
